Album covers research

Album covers need to represent the artists image, but they need to be interesting and appealing to the target audience. Album covers have four panels and a list of the tracks on the CD.

We really liked this Rihanna album cover as it portrays her brand image very well. The red hair shows her sexy, feisty image and therefore the album cover is doing what is expected and targeting the audience. I think that the front image for the album is well edited and the colours used flow well throughout the album, and fit with the album name 'Loud'. I think that the type on the front image fits with the image and i don't think that the album would look as good without the type as the image would look very simple even though it is well edited i think that needs to be type on the front image either the title of the album or words linking to the artist. Overall, the album images work well to portray Rihanna's brand image sexy and feisty.
